Examining The View of Commentators Regarding the Example of Kawthar(During the Revelation of Surah)From the Perspective of Rational Interpretations of Both Schools of Thought

Abstract

Surah al-Kawthar from the beginning of revelation for the sake of brevity, the existence of the word Kawthar, its example is of interest to commentators and is one of the most challenging topics among them. Among the intellectual interpretations, interpretative views have been more prosperous. What is important in these interpretations is the explanation of the meaning of Kawthar and mentioning the examples of this meaning. However, what has been neglected and not paid attention to is the example of this word during the revelation of Surah al-Kawthar. In this research, based on analytical-descriptive method, we will do a comparative analysis of interpretation views in the intellectual interpretations and possibly the traditions mentioned about these verses and then evaluate all of them; finally, the relationship of these perceptions with the worldly example of Kawthar will be analyzed. Paying attention to the occasion of revelation, the reasons for the revelation of the Surah, the context of the verses, the conditions and atmosphere that dominated Mecca, the atmosphere of revelation of the Surah, the principle of exposing hadith to the Qur'an and certain historical cases were the documents that helped evaluate these interpretations. The obtained result, which is one of the innovations of this research, is that the only instance of Kawthar, not only at the time of revelation of the Surah but also in the whole creation, is Lady Fāṭtima al-Zahrāʾ, who had the position of plurality at the same time unity and the Prophet's generation spread through her; the one who thwarted the plans of the enemies for the incompleteness of the religion of Islam.
