Abstract

Investigating the aspect of the Miraculousness of the Qur’an is one of the most important issues in the Qur’anic sciences.Among the hadiths that have attracted the attention of Qur’an scholars and theologians in this area is the hadith narrated byIbn Sukait from Imam Hadi (PBUH).Although the main topic of this narration is to explain the difference between the miracles of the three Messengers of Great Revelations; It means Moses, Jesus, and the Holy Prophet, it also refers to special points about the miracles of the Qur’an. According to this narration, the miracles of each of these three prophets were in accordance with the common sciences and techniques of their time, and since the Arabs of the time when the Qur’an was revealed were eloquence in the art of speaking, the miracles of the Prophet of Islam were also included in the category of speech. Scholars of Quranic sciences have put forward multiple and sometimes conflicting interpretations of this narration; To the extent that some, using this narration, considered the miracle of the Qur’an to be eloquence and rhetoric, while others negated or weakened this aspect and highlighted other aspects of the miracle of the Qur’an.After examining the chain of transmission of this narration and analyzing its contents in detail, the present article tries to criticize these views and finally, by distinguishing between the era of the revelation of the Qur’an and other eras, find the aspect of Miraculousnessof the Qur’an.One of the findings of the research is that, although the eloquence and rhetoric of the Qur’an at the time of its revelation was the most obvious aspect of its Miraculousness, it is not like this at present.
